What are some of your favorite subscriptions you use for business?
June Group Discussion Question
Each month, I’ll pose a question for us to discuss in the comments. The goal is to crowdsource the best resources, advice, and recs. Everyone can see the question of the month and my personal answer, but only paid subscribers can join in the comments to share their answers.
Question: What are some of your favorite subscriptions you use for business?
My answer:
There are many subscriptions I could not run my business without! I’m only going to focus on the ones I pay for, even though a few of these do have free plans available.
My favorites include:
Shopify: My entire shop is run on Shopify and I love it. If you have multiple products and need a fully functioning ecommerce store, Shopify is awesome. Shopify also has tons of free and paid apps for enhancing store features.
Adobe Creative Cloud: I’ve always been an Adobe Illustrator and InDesign user and can’t imagine designing without these. It is definitely more expensive with a steep learning curve, but so worth it if you have the time to learn.
Zapier: How do I describe Zapier…? It’s like your personal, “If this…then do this” assistant. Think about any manual task you have to do. You can probably use Zapier to do it for you. For example, “If someone leaves my membership program, remove them from my online community.” Or, “If someone joins my online community, tag their email with the word ‘community’ so I can easily email all community members at once.” The sky is the limit!
Airtable: Airtable is a way to collect and organize all your data in one spot. If someone takes a survey or fills out a form, all the data can be stored in Airtable. For me, when someone applies to my Marketplace, the data goes in Airtable. If they are accepted, all I have to do is mark them as ‘Accepted’ and an email automatically goes out welcoming them to the Marketplace. Boom! Write the email once and it goes out every time you need it.
I use many more subscriptions that are free. I’ll have to do a separate post on those in the future!
